Cross-Country Ski Race

NOTICE

The Birch Open Cross-Country Ski Race has been CANCELLED.
Unfortunately there is not enough snow to groom the trials and host a quality race.

OUTLINE ::

The Birch Open is a sanctioned CCSAM cross-country ski race put on by Birch Mountain Sports. The event is open to all athletic capability and age.

Birch Ski Area, Roseisle, MB. For directions please click here.

ELIGIBILITY ::

The Birch Open is an unrestricted event for all skiers (i.e. anyone can enter the race)

EVENT FORMAT ::

Mass start (in waves), and free technique (with classic tracks)

SCHEDULE OF EVENTS ::

  • Onsite registration between 11:00 am & 12:00 pm
  • Mass start at 1:00 pm
  • Awards presentation after race (approximately 2:15 pm)

ENTRY FEES ::

  • Online pre-registration (before Friday, January 20, 2012 at 8:00 pm)
    • $10.00 Atom to Mini-Midget
    • $15.00 Midget to Masters 9
    • Pre-registration opens Monday, January 14 at 8 :00 pm and closes Thursday, January 20 at 8:00 pm.
  • On-site registration (after Friday, January 20, 2012)
    • $15.00 Atom to Mini-Midget
    • $20.00 Midget to Masters 9
  • Day Licence Fee
    • $5.00 for entrants not member of a CCSAM or CCC Cross Country Ski Club

AWARDS ::

Prizes for all categories. The awards ceremony will take place after the race in the clubhouse.
